Don't give up!

By Mx  //  Startups  //  5 Comments

While going through some startup stuff, I came across an inspirational video:

“..but if I fail and I try again, and again and again but I just want you to know that it’s not the end, it matters how you’re gonna finish. Are you gonna finish it strong? You will find that strength..”

Hey, this is fun! I just got this from my team lead:

“Do not maximize the screen… just leave it as it is after clicking the link and see what happens… wicked.” http://users.telenet.be/kixx/

25 people confirmed Shahada at Fanar

By Mx  //  Abstract  //  5 Comments

2 weeks back, after the Friday prayers at Qatar Islamic Cultural Centre (Fanar) – 25 people from 5 different communities (Nepal, China, Gana, Philippines and Bangladesh) confirmed their Shahada in public. It was lovely to see the newly converted muslims declaring Shahada. Many muslims took snaps while the people declared and I got lucky to take a quick one in the mosque.

Live from a new host

By Mx  //  Internet  //  4 Comments

Yup, axdimensions.com has been facing downtime since April 21, 2009. It was actually hosted as an add-on domain on BlueHost along with my other websites. My hosting with BlueHost was expiring on April 24 due to which I thought to purchase another hosting account from BlueHost keeping axdimensions.com as my primary domain.

Initially BlueHost gave some weird scripting errors upon signup and then later my credit card was rejected. I contacted their billing department and found out that my credit card has been marked as fraud, where as the same card was used by BlueHost 1-2 weeks back when they auto-renewed my first account for which I had to claim refund. Anyway, I was in no mood of verifying my details to BlueHost and searched for a better host.

I faced downtime on this host 3 times during my 1 year experience with BlueHost, and same reviews can be found on the internet as well. My account was auto-renewed without any notification where as I was getting constant emails about its expiration. I took backup of my important files and started looking for a better host. Things got a little slow since I was on vacations and did not have access to high-speed internet.

Hmm, after reviewing couple of hosts on different websites, I found HostGator the right host for me. And the comparison charts are also in the favor of the same. Here I am, live from a new host!
