Iss se agay kahani kon likhay ga..?

By Mx  //  Abstract  //  2 Comments

Some thoughts have been pondering in my head from Sunday and I am not getting enough time to drop a post. Most of the readers on my blog are through half of their life and yet we are just living..

It struck me on Saturday during our “event management” class when a class-fellow suggested an event Celebrate Urdu as the semester project. It sounds interesting but then we had to go against it since the target audience of our college is not that type. We even got comments like “only old folks would be interested in attending the event” etc. But then we have forgotten our core values and we are living a life being someone else!

I know number of people, who are really ‘schweet’ (as the world comments on Facebook today) but when they talk to their parents, they are hell rude. Even in front of their friends, they would insult their parents. Even if our parents are wrong, we aren’t supposed to say “uff” to them and that’s what Islam teaches us. Today, most of us spend lives in the flow of society. Few would actually bother where their life is heading, what they want to achieve and what is the real purpose of our existence. We keep short-term goals in front of us and would strive our level best to gain them no matter even if we end up messing with our parents or Rabb. But then again, can you really succeed without the blessings of your parents and God? You may temporarily feel so but after few months, you’ll realize things have lost their charm – give it a try! It’s the era where we have forgotten what we should value, whom we should respect and how we should live.

Most of us are inclined towards materialist approach to life. We are only living in a flow, not sure about what’s happening around. You’ll always find some lot that will not be happy with what is happening in the land of pure people. Yes, much of it is not fair but together we can make a difference. People who have flown to West, Europe or even Middle East consider Pakistan as land of all mess-ups! Talk to them and they would just try their best to run away from this country as soon as possible. But aren’t all countries part of this earth? They are nothing more than manmade boundaries! People vary because of their deeds, based on what they value and respect in life. These values are inherited from the society we are living in making it a complete system. Some people might comment that every system has internal and external forces. But every external force is a result of internal force. All rules and norms that we follow in society due to external pressure is implicitly developed by internal force and that too humans! So if we correct ourselves deep down inside, we can change – we can make a difference..and we can change the place where we live in today, make it the land of pure people, kahani jiss ki abh hum khud likhein gae instead of being ruled out!

Living in the Afterglow..

By Mx  //  Abstract  //  3 Comments

So much on my head from last few months but not much has been executed as planned. Weeks have passed-by but end result doesn’t seem to improve for all that I have been dreaming about. Some dreams lead to hopes but then again, they all scatter down..

I so feel like going on top of a tall building at night, sit there for a while, watch the city and think about everything that has been happening around. Another moment that I love is attending the sun-set, somewhere near the sea and watch the sun go down.. [peaceful moments!]

We all tend to think and plan so much about our life but only few of us really succeed in doing most of what we really wish to do. When I look back at old Connect2Pk days, I love those moments and the other projects that I carried out early last year – that era was so productive! It feels good going through old blog posts as the memories of hard work come live and motivates to do even more in life. But during last 1 year or so, I haven’t been blogging actively. I dropped a blog post in February 2011 that ‘activeDimensions’ will stay active from now on but it never happened..

All that we strive for, the motivation that we gather, all of it leads to personal satisfaction – and we all have our ways of being satisfied in life. Not that I am being negative about my routine or work-life but I feel there can be more to it. I feel that I’m currently living in the afterglow of the good days that have passed-by. Even afterglow fades away when the sun goes down completely and it gets all dark. Do we all really bother about where the life is going until we feel disturbed? I believe most of us are living in the flow and so am I.
